In cases where employees
have access to valuable company assets, or are placed in positions
of trust, susceptible to the acceptance of cash or other inducements
in return for goods or services connected to the business,
Rockston can provide the necessary services to identify and
provide intelligence about individuals who may be involved
in this kind of activity. This process is known as Infiltration
& Test Purchase, which is a procedure designed to provide
corroborative evidence of this activity.
The process can be performed external or internal to the business.
Internal procedures usually require an undercover operative
to be placed among the workforce as an employee of the business.
Their initial task is to identify potential problem areas
and to integrate with fellow employees who operate in those
areas. Guided by intelligence provided by the company, or
working to an open remit, the operative must then identify
those employees most likely to commit an offence and provide
evidence of any involvement.
External procedures again require an undercover operative;
this time external to the business. Perhaps disguised as a
delivery driver or a member of the public, the operative’s
prime objective is to identify employees prepared to take
advantage of their position by accepting inducements in return
for services or property belonging to the employer.
